Hello everyone,

My name is Carlos and just a short time ago, I was completely new to the Justice Party. I started in this forum not knowing blue from red. And now, I'm completely immersed in it (purple!); spending all my available time to help build the national party, as well as my state party here in Connecticut.

Besides marketing and branding work, I've been asked to lend a hand with the national website and this forum. So you should start to see me more often.

One of my first tasks is to look for any issues with this forum. From my understanding, although this forum is displayed on justicepartyusa.org site, it is actually hosted by another server. So some things we can tweak, but some things may be out of our hands for the time being. (We'll address it after the convention)

Next, I will work towards cleaning up the main national website. Get it in a more presentable format.

At the convention, I hope to bring all the tech gurus together so we can discuss a possible migration to a new CMS (content management software) to run the main website, more internal social networking functions to help our members collaborate and meet and a CRM to help the national and state parties better handle our supporters and many contacts. There's a lot of great open source and open government tools that we can leverage to get us to the top.

Since many of you may not be subscribed to the mailing lists, I can report that we have had discussions on adopting some new software to allow for more transparency in the creation of the party platform. Hopefully with so many great minds in the party, we can have a great platform ready for our convention next year.

I encourage all of you to LIKE the Justice Party USA's Facebook page. Try to share as many posts as possible so that word of this great new party spreads. Also, be sure to follow us on Twitter.

If you are wondering, 'WHO is running my state Justice Party?' Just ask. It might be YOU. Simply contact us and step forward. We didn't win the Revolution war with everyone waiting for someone else to dump the British. We need you all to take action NOW!

For inspiration, please visit our simple website for the Connecticut party. Simple and gets the word out.

Hello, I fixed the broken header image at the top. It was causing issues with clicking on the navigation links.

Hello,

You will notice that the URL to the forum has chanegd from http://www.justicepartyusa.org/forum to http://www.justicepartyusa.org/forums please refresh your browser bookmark.

I have created and moved around some categories and forums to better to improve discussion and participation.

If you are aware of any outstanding bug issues with the forum, please notify me.

Please Note: This forum lives within a 'frame' of the main site. When the content is very long, it will cause the forum to have a scroll bar on the right side. Under the current forum software, this can't be helped.

Thanks,

Carlos

Hello,

As you can see, the site has a new template (design). This design is considered temporary and will be utilize until....

* New party logo and colors are designed and selected
* Party platform, Party Bylaws and Party Values/Vision are written and passed

If you experience and issues, please post to this forum. For example, out dated text, grammar/typos and so on.

Thank you,

Carlos Camacho

What is the "tear-off" on the home page supposed to do?  Other than that, looks ok.

I trust the web site is supporting generic browsers (i.e., not IE-specific).

Could you explain what you mean by 'tear-off'?

The site was checked with Chrome and Safari.

Thanks,
Carlos

I see "Justice Party" in a white box near the top of the page.  The box has a "perforation" which allows you to "grab" the box and pull on it.  The grab-and-pull works, but I am not sure what the purpose is, that's all.

Thank you for checking some other popular browsers with this site.  I am using FF and Chrome on Linux, so I will let you know if I spot any issues w/r/t Linux.

Hello! I see the area you talk about. It is only design. I used Safari and Chrome and tried to replicate what you said, my browser just tries to download the image. You actually see if moving? I will check on a Windows machine tomorrow.

The site should also render on tablets and mobile phones. (Fingers crossed)

Thanks!

Windows7 (not sure which edition) + FF:  Same behavior as described previously.

Windows7 + IE:  Asks me if I want to copy the file(s) to my PC.

I have several platforms virtualized on my PC here, so feel free to ask me to help analyze or debug issues.  (You're welcome.)

I have confirmed there is a bug in our site's menu system on certain browsers. A fix is in the works.
Thanks!
